Join us for the 2024 University of Virginia Brain Symposium at the Contemplative Commons building in Charlottesville, VA. The symposium seeks to enhance the UVA neuroscience community through research talks, a poster session & networking events, and other educational opportunities.

The agenda will feature lectures by UVA researchers as well as national and international leaders in basic, translational, and clinical neuroscience research across disciplines.

Event registration is free & open to all attendees including those from the University of Virginia, other academic institutions, partner organizations, the Charlottesville community, and beyond.

Registration will close on May 3, 2024.

Submit a Poster

We will host a poster session and reception on Wednesday afternoon, May 22nd at the Contemplative Commons building. The Brain Institute seeks abstract submissions from across the University for the poster session. Prizes will be awarded to the top posters from a graduate student, postdoctoral researcher, and undergraduate student.

The 2024 symposium will include 2.5 days of research talks in 5 thematic areas of neuroscience that represent strengths at the University of Virginia. The event will also include two keynote speakers, a poster session, a Trainee Career Lunch, and multiple opportunities for networking.
