Neuro Mock Study Section
A mock peer review for investigators in neuroscience, neurology, and related disciplines
The Neuroscience, Neurology, and Related Disciplines Mock Study Section provides UVA investigators with an opportunity to have their grant applications reviewed before submission. The session is organized similar to the format of an NIH study section: Each application is assigned three reviewers with each providing their overall score and highlighting strengths and weaknesses, before the application is opened for general discussion.
We welcome applications intended for any funder, from any UVA faculty investigator, provided the project is centered on neuroscience, neurology, or a related discipline. A Specific Aims page (or equivalent) is required for every application, and we encourage inclusion of additional documents (e.g., Research Strategy outline) for review.
Hosted by the Brain Institute and Neurology Vice Chairs of Research, the Neuro Mock Study Section meets three times per year, typically in March, July, and November or December.
