Michaela DuBay, an autism researcher at UVA, is leading several initiatives in Bolivia aimed at building stronger support networks for families of children with autism.

UVA researchers’ laboratory findings could be life-changing for those suffering from neurodegenerative diseases. Funding from UVA’s Brain Institute will help them take their research to the next level.

The Brain Institute serves as the hub of UVA’s interdisciplinary network, fostering connections across Grounds and uniting the neuroscience-related work of faculty members, students, and staff in various schools, including medicine, engineering, arts & sciences, nursing, data science, leadership and public policy, and education.

In Meghan Puglia’s baby lab, mothers and their children have a stimulating way to help researchers learn more about the developing brain – while potentially helping those “on the spectrum.”
